Review: Nice quality - Heavy I will warn you, but, it is glass. The lid is not a tight fit, but seats well. I found you have to remove the lid before attempting to pull it out of the oven when it’s hot, due to the loose fitting lid and fear I would drop it in my oven door. Love I can see through it to gauge if done. Would buy again. Versatile with the ability to use either or both to bake in. Washes well.
Review: Fantastic alternative to dutch oven for breadbaking - Because I love to bake bread and have a gas oven, I needed a vessel of some kind to create the steam required for good oven spring. I have a smallish Lodge cooker which is great for boules, but actually holds too much heat and sometimes burn the bottoms of the loaves even with parchment. Then I just couldn't justify the cost of a Le Cruset or Challenger pan just for baking bread. I happened to see a few Bake with Jack videos where he used a glass bowl/cloche and thought, hey! That's different. His loaves came out fine and it was cool to be able to see the bread rise and bake. So I took a chance with this glass roaster, and have been using it without fail for all my loaves. I can now bake BIG (1000g) oval loaves that have the room to rise and are easier to slice than boules. I put the loaf straight from the fridge onto parchment or silicone lift, score it, place it in the cold roaster, mist with water, toss in a few ice cubes, put the lid on and into the preheated oven (on a stone shelf). My loaves have turned out perfectly and the roaster has been no problem to clean up, even with dried fruit and the melted ice. I love not having to deal with a hot preheated dutch oven and being able to monitor my bread's baking. I plan on getting the round version at some point.

## Features

- SERVING MADE SIMPLE: With this oven-to-table-to fridge-microwave dish, you can serve directly in the baking pan without compromising on style or safety. Clear glass makes an attractive presentation, and the shock-resistant Borosilicate glass will not shatter from the temperature change.

DEEP, DOME SHAPED COVER doubles as a roasting pan and triples as a serving dish for added convenience.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EXCELLENT DUTCH OVEN FOR BAKING SOURDOUGH BREAD
*by R***R on August 31, 2023*

The glassware is excellent and can handle temps of 500 degrees. It is very well made and can handle smaller loaves but I use this for larger loaves of 1200grams and above. Because it is glass, it requires no preheating of the pan and it heats up very quickly. I got this one when I started baking larger loaves that needed more height than the smaller version this company makes. I use both glassware ovens depending on the size of bread loaf I am making. I like it better than my metal dutch oven because I can actually see when the bread has reached the peak height and coloration before taking the lid off and completing the baking. I preheat at 500 degrees, then put the pan in with lid on and reduce heat to 450 degrees and bake for 40-50 min with lid on and complete the baking/browning with the lid off for 12-15 min longer. Depending on the loaf, I may let the oven stay at 500 degrees for 10-15 minutes to kick start the dough on cold days. I've used this many times and it holds up under quick temperature changes even when putting into a 500 degree preheated oven. Also, I spray the interior lid with water to trap moisture in the Dutch oven which helps to allow the dough to stretch and rise. You can turn it upside down as well and bake with it that way too. Worth the price for me!
