They were matched up against a variety of different weights and designs and these were what they recommended out of the entire line up. I like this show for its review and great recipes and these weights don't dissapoint. They work great. It took a while to receive them as the seller may have been out of stock. But I patiently waited and they arrived and at good discount over the same weights sold by some others at a higher price. I may order two more sets for larger pies. ATK recommends four cups of weights for a large pie tin! Which is about four boxes or so of these I believe. I started with two and that seems to work well for my quiches that require blind baking. These pans are shallower so only two boxes is sufficient.
