They cushion fantastic and help with blisters. I do wear gloves but sometimes that still isn't enough, so this is a very nice addition to strong paddling. That said, the problem I have with them is that I find my hand position changes on the paddle. Who knew. These grips then are in the way and no longer positioned where I need them. They won't just slide so I had to un-velcro them and then reposition, then when the hand position changes, there you go again. That is the reason for the one star down. I was fussing with them way too much. Yet, I like the cushion. I am wondering if I add a second pair to cover a larger area if that might help.
