## Questions & Answers

**Q: What exactly comes in the box, like cords, or the manual?**
A: 2 usb midi cables (one standard one mini), manual, warranty card, cleaning cloth. Manual is a slim affair with most info online. This is just off the top of my head and is all the major components.

**Q: Do the knobs click or turn smoothly? Do they spin continuously or physically stop at the minimum and max?**
A: I have the P6 61-key, so I can't confirm what the P4 has.  The knobs on the P6 turn smoothly and spin continuously enabling you to quickly get to the setting you want without having a stop.  This allows for a more wider range on the settings.  Sometimes when you a limited range - making fine adjustments is more difficult.

**Q: Could it also be used a general midi controller? As well can the pads be assigned to other parameters or functions, as well?**
A: I use it in Reason, Abelton and Komplete Ultimate and it works fine with all of them. I've also used it with Playground to learn how to play new songs. How you assign the pads would depend on the software you are using.

**Q: all faders are motorized?**
A: No. Just the one on the upper left near the mod and pitch wheels. It's difficult to describe how it works but it basically is for switching between tracks in mixer mode without losing the parameter. So it is kind of like a poor man's motorized mixing board - instead of having all of the mixer channels motorized, the single motor fader adjusts whenever you switch between tracks on the Reason mixer. http://www.nektartech.com/s.nl/ctype.KB/it.I/id.916/KB.533/.fIt is a great controller for Reason but there is a learning curve.
