Review: Easy to install and works well - I recently built a large station for a new Bosch Glide miter saw -- the station's base has two cabinets each incorporating 4 large drawers on full-extension slides. The saw provides quite a bit of vibration which was causing the drawers to drift open. Because of the ever-present sawdust, I didn't want to use any kind of mechanical drawer latches. These magnetic catches are small, very straightforward to install, and provide a surprising amount of holding force. I used the included screws to fasten them in place them rather than relying on the adhesive pads. Installing these isn't rocket science, but it does require at least a modicum of basic hand and tool skills. My cabinets and drawer fronts are all made of 3/4" cabinet-grade plywood. I located the magnet and striker plates by eye, traced out the mounting holes, and then drilled 1/16" pilot holes for the screws. The screws went in smoothly and hold tightly, the magnets engage with the matching plates with a pleasing metallic click, and release with just the right amount of firm pull. A good, simple product that does what it promises at a very reasonable price.
Review: Great buy - They are exactly as advertised. These are small and thin. Even with that they have a very powerful magnet. It comes with two sets. Each set consisting of one metal plate, on magnetic metal plate, four screws and each plate also has adhesive sticky pads. I think you could probably get away with just using the sticky pads although I did go ahead and use the four screws. I was using it for a nightstand with a door that wouldn't stay shut. It works great and holds the door closed. Also it looks good as the design is so flat. It's not even noticeable that they're there. Even though they are a powerful magnet it is not too hard to open either. The company got this one just right. Would buy again if I need to. Highly recommend.

**Q: Will they keep the doors on a little free library closed on a windy day?**
A: I don’t really know for certain but I will say is that I’ve found the magnets to be pretty strong. I have them holding some quite big & heavy drawers on a chest of drawers which used to constantly slide open but no longer since I installed these.  I’ve found them to be pretty effective. You might find it useful to put one at both the top and the bottom of the doors to ensure they’ll stay closed.  These are not that expensive so surely it’s worth giving it a go. Good luck!!!

**Q: Do you think this could hold a mailbox shut?  We've replaced the lid/door 6 times and the entire mailbox once chiseling out of brick. Loose again!!!**
A: Most definitely!  We installed barn doors in our living room and it holds the two doors together. Would definitely work on a mail box.

**Q: I want to install on a lift top toy box. Do you think it will stop a Doberman from nose lifing the lid, but allow 4 & 8 yr old kids to open?**
A: I think they might work for what you need. I installed mine on armoire door that folds to the side of cabinet because when open, doors would not stay put and fall open. These worked perfectly for that.

**Q: Can this be used on a bedroom door that swings open?**
A: Do not see why it would not work.   I used these on a alcohol cabinet I was making.  Used just one per door and it held fine .

Works pretty well, used it to keep a trash drawer closed. Wore out after about 1 year. Could be a little thinner. But for the money, not a bad product.
