Review: Persevere and win - I am changing my review from an initial 2-star "Disappointed" review to a glowing 5-stars after my latest attempt at using these things. I had initially written how my ear canal is really very narrow, and that the disadvantage of these smaller plugs was that they would get squished in the process of inserting them, no matter how or which way I pulled my ears to try and straighten the canal. Last night, I decided to give it another go, since I have a tin full of the things anyway, and somehow the planets and the ear canal finally aligned perfectly, and the plug went right in all the way. Once the plug expanded to its full size, this time around the difference was monumental! My ear was completely sealed, and I could hear *nothing*! I still had to struggle to insert the plug in the other ear, but I finally managed, and then it was bliss! I have not experienced such a deep silence since I descended to the depths an a lava tuve years ago, and I did not hear a thing from the moment I finally got the plugs in right, until I took them out in the morning. For the first time in many months I was able to get a solid, full-night sleep without getting woken up by my wife's fierce snoring, and I woke up feeling fully rested and happy. So, to all of you writing that the plugs don't work, and don't suppress sound, I respectfully suggest that you're not inserting them properly, which is exactly what happened to me. Once they're in the right way, straight in and all the way inside, I assure you that the noise reduction is dramatic and astonishing. Granted, it is not necessarily easy, and for some people it may be more of a struggle than for other, but once the plugs are in the right way, they do work, and work VERY well! So please keep trying; you'll be happy you did. One last word of caution. When you get the proper alignment of the ear canal, it is possible for the plug to go in too deep. This could result in some pain deep inside. Make sure the plug goes in fully, so that when it expands no part of it protrudes from the earhole, but no deeper than that. And if it feels painful at the bottom, just gently pull it out a bit, until you feel the seal, but no pain. Good luck!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable, little tricky to put in.

I got these for sleeping to try and block out our noisy air conditioner. I have very small ear canals and others hurt by morning.. these were great, no pain! I’m a side sleeper and rarely turn over and found I only needed to put in one ear as the pillow is sufficient for the other. My only comment, addressing those who said they don’t block much and noise is still loud is that I found it is greatly affected by how you put them in. First 2 nights I thought I had them in correctly, but not great on noise performance. Figured better than nothing but maybe only reduced by 25%. Third night was a charm. Thought I was putting in the same but could actually hear the noise reduce by probably 90% in just a minute as it expanded! It felt no different in my ear but you can definitely hear the difference when it’s right. I find it hard sometimes to get it right as you have to really get it tightly compressed and work fast. Definitely a learning curve. The point is so soft I think it folds over and doesn’t go in straight or as deep. BUT, when you get it right it works great! I can still hear a little noise, but it’s so soft it’s ok. Works so well when I get it right my alarm sounds like a little tinkle bell, nearly over slept!
