If they are to be reused, I suggest that all four edges be taped with duct tape -- mylar tears most easily from the edge -- they'll survive a fair amount of abuse. I recommend these.

So for emergencies these should be ok. They are WONDERFULLY large, and the gold/silver is nice. They are a bit thin compared to a few other Mylar blankets I’ve tested. I don’t like how thin they are but at $2 I can understand. I’d like to see them thicker, and from the factory mine was cut with jagged edges. Now understand these are $2 a blanket so it’s not gonna be the best product out there but they are nice for what they are.
