**Q: What is the outside width, height and length of this container without cover?**
A: Outside measurements without lid: 6 5/8" long, 4 3/4" wide, 3 1/8" high.

**Q: how many ounces do they hold?**
A: I filled one container with water, placed the lid on to ensure accuracy, and then emptied the container into a measuring cup.  Using this method, the container held just under 4.5 ounces.  This represents the absolute maximum.  To ensure so spillage etc., I would count on a full 4 ounces.

**Q: what is the actual size of the container? (amazon often lists the size of the package, not the thing itself)**
A: 24oz soup and salad size

I always have a big stack of these (what I call sandwich-size) storage containers on hand. They get a lot of use. I divide up large batches of food into individual serving sizes and store them in the fridge or freezer. I also like this smaller size for other food storage needs, even if it the task takes two or three of the smaller containers instead of one larger container) because they are easier to manage space-wise in the fridge and I think it keeps food fresher. These glad storage containers tick all the boxes. They can be stacked to use vertical space in the fridge or freezer. The lids fit tightly. They clean up well in the dishwasher and they are not prone to staining easily. I don't use them as much as I used to in the microwave because I've started pouring the food from the storage container into a glass container for reheating, but they do stand up well to use in the microwave. I also like that the price was very reasonable.
