A Quick Read on Some Shady Characters
This book is a quick read highlighting the infamous history of members of the "hit squad" assigned to rub out individuals who have been targeted for assassination by the likes of Harry Strauss, Frank Abbandando, Louis Capone, Emanuel Weiss, and Harry Maione among others. Interestingly enough each of the above kept their appointment with the electric chair in New York's Sing Sing Prison. Swarthy individuals such as Louis Buchalter and Albert Anastasia served at the helm of this sordid organization. Interesting nicknames abound in this book such as "Tick Tock", "The Lord High Executioner" or "The Mad Hatter", "Pittsburgh Phil", "Lepke", "Buggsy", "The Dasher", "Mendy" "The Dandy", "Happy", and "Kid Twist."There really is nothing here that can't be found in several other books on the mob but if you are looking for an interesting and fun read I'm sure you will enjoy this book. The book contains several photos of the above characters.

A decade of hits
Having enjoyed Christian Cipollini's last book: Lucky Luciano Mysterious Tales of A Gangland Legend, I eagerly awaited his latest entry into the world of Mafiadom. With Murder, Inc. Cipollini does not disappoint this reader. With his unparalleled photo collection of crime history, his interest in the subject matter Murder Inc. comes through as a concise, short history of a often brazen type who's who enforcement squad of the National Crime Syndicate and not the good kind. Though not the all inclusive history of Murder, Inc it is a through introduction to the field. With his expertise in his books, documentries he's been on and served behind the scenes on, Mr. Cipollini has in my opinion if not already become a force to be reckon with in the industry. Bravo, Mr. C.

I love this book
Christian Cipollini put a large amount of time and research into his book and it shows. There is a lot of new information about Murder Inc that hasn't been discovered in other books about the same topic, for instance the story behind the group photo of Strauss, Goldstein, Reles, and Maione in a police station with two detectives standing behind them. The book has so many twists and turns, the author's tone is of a knowledgeable story teller (when you read the book you feel like you're talking to Cipollini), and it was hard to put the book down. Out of all the books on murder inc this one has become my favorite. :) the author also includes many rare photos, including one of Midnight Rose.

Definitely needs an editor
This book really needs an editor. While the material is interesting, this really is a surface view of the whole time period that leaves me rather unsatisfied. The book repeatedly uses the phrase "on the lamb [sic]" instead of "on the lam". On page 162 in the paperback version there is a paragraph that abruptly ends mid-sentence that should have been dropped altogether. Finally, the constant switching between last names and nicknames makes it rather difficult to follow at times.

I’ve read most of Christians books and follow his continued progress on social media..He has a unique ability of uncovering new facts about Organized Crime. Mostly the "old school" La Cosa Nostra or American Mafia's "old school" characters. He's a true investigative reporter on the facts. He’s becoming one of our generations authorities on organized crime. Any of his books Are well worth reading.

A True Crime Masterpiece!
Christian Cipolini has done a masterful job in presenting the history of the Mob's enforcement arm, Murder Incorporated. I highly recommend this book. I couldn't put it down. It is excellently written and includes many photos I had never seen previously. This is a MUST READ for anyone interested in True Crime.
