Love this Quad it flys great! I have had no issues with this Quad and I fly it daily! It has lots of power and trims nice! The camera works great although I wish I could turn sound off. The motors are pretty loud on any Arial Photography Recordings so you get nice video but the sound of the motors are very loud. Turns the volume down and :) Great Product!Edit. I failed to mention I've had this for about a month and 25+ flights without any issues. After reading some reviews I think I will check the props on it and the screws another customer mentioned. I don't want to lose mine due to props. Still have had loads of fun with this and some nice Arial PhotograghyEdit update - Led lights that go around the Quad stopped working - Contacted the seller to see about getting replacement for purchase and was sent to a website to buy - A website not familiar with so be careful on buying off sites - I guess I either have to do no night flying or put my cc in a website that I don't know nothing about - Seller would not offer me to purchase from him and/or he obtain and I buy - Don't see any listed on Amazon :(

I have purchased two of these drones and this particular model has one major design flaw. The drone comes with extra rotors, however I have had a major problem with both of the drones I purchased sheering off the screws that hold the rotors in place. The screws that hold the rotors in place are so tiny that they cannot be easily replaced by visiting a hardware store or Home Depot/Lowes. There is no question these should be cotter pins, not tiny screws. If Hero RC insists on using the screws then they should send an extra screw with each extra rotor (4). The first time it occurred I didn't think much of it, but when it happened multiple times on both my drones I knew it was a serious design flaw. If it were not for this issue this drone would be fantastic, however if you sheer one of these screws you are grounded. This should be a simple fix for Hero RC and it's disappointing that they haven't discovered and corrected this issue.

First one I bought burned a motor the first day I used it. The controller also broke. Got a replacement, seems to work fine. Very fun to use. Worthwhile buy if you can learn quickly without crashing too much, otherwise it will break on you pretty fast. Cheap plastic/foam as expected. Use in open areas. Good beginner drone. Guaranteed to impress all the kids at the park.

I bought this for my grandson. The first day we took it out of the box and used it, the housing broke, the landing gear busted off one motor, and the mount that holds the motor in the center has ripped out due to 5 minutes of flying. Definitely not as durable as what they advertised it to be, which is unfortunate because it really is a fun machine. Unfortunately, I didn't get to give him this Christmas present until February (today) and it is no longer eligible for return. We will definitely find another one, but I would not recommend this particular machine.

This was my first quad-copter, so it was important that it was easy to fly and did not easily get damaged. Bottom line, I have slowly been getting more proficient a pilot and have crashed several times due to pilot error-- and quad-copter is still good as new. I have taken on several indoor flights with cathedral ceiling for practice-- a little large for this. I have taken on several flights outside in the winter-- works great, but a little sensitive to wind. I even had accidentally landed in a snow drift, and after blowing the snow out of the internals, still runs great. I also really like the LED lights and the camera. Note the camera was just loose in the parts bag, so you will need to attach to bottom via clip (can face forward or backwards-- my preference so I get in the video at takeoff!) and plug in cable. The camera manually tilts up/down and video files are .avi files, which I just run through a converter as I prefer .mp4. The video is not HD, but still very good and enjoyable to watch even on my 65" tv. You can initiate video or still shots from the remote, but there is no indication on the remote display if video is actually on or not-- so I just start video rolling prior to take off (green camera light turns to red), and let it run the entire flight-- lots of room on my the 8GB micro-SD card (not included). The only reason I am not giving 5-stars is the battery and led light cables are a bit of a hassle to connect and disconnect between flights. I have recommended this item to friends interested in trying quad-copters and would buy again if mine breaks at some point.

My son loves playing with this drone and taking videos with the included camera. It comes with two LiPo batteries, but I would recommend you get a couple more Teenitor 2 Pack 7.4V 850mAh Li-Po Battery Spare Part for WLtoys V262 RC Quadcopter Replacement Blue so you can have that extra time to fly it a couple of times more.

I liked the XQ-5 so much I bought another! Now I can have my daughters and I play chase and tandem flights. Get the extra batteries, you'll want to keep flying this baby. Your friends will want one after they see it, too.

I purchased 2 units 1 worked great the second was defective. Since the second unit was a gift we were beyond the return date however the problem was not discovered until the gift was opened. I have contacted you before and hopefully this will get a response. I purchased another type of "copter" and that one arrived broken as well as the replacement
