I used to be terrified of Melatonin because I didn't understand much about it and the crunchy Facebook mommies talked about it like it was poison. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. My doctor has had me try a number of different prescription sleep medications, but nothing worked well, and if it did, I felt terrible the next day. I like a lot of other Olly supplements, so I thought I'd give these a try. I started with the recommended dose of 2. They helped me fall asleep, but I felt like a zombie the next day. I decided to half the dose and took one and it was like magic. I still woke in the middle of the night, but these consistently help me fall asleep and get at least 3 solid hours before my brain reactivates and keeps me awake. I have experimented with taking a second (still within the recommended dose of 2, just spread apart) if I can't go back to sleep after my first block of sleep and that often does the trick, but it does lead to some grogginess the next day. These are not the best tasting of the Olly line, but they don't smell bad, and I've gotten used to them. I find them generally easy to chew and swallow. The texture is more gummy than rubbery, and I definitely do see benefits. I have them on autoship because they work.
