Keeps the mouse wrist pad staying in place.

Review: Decently comfortable without losing it's shape. - The size is average (so might be too big or too much elevation if you have really small wrists and forearms). It bears the weight of your arm well and doesn't collapse in or lose it's shape. By the same token, it's not super soft and conforming like memory foam. It's decently comfortable to use overall but nothing special. Though I think the design could be improved with a more gentle slope of approach for your arm to rest on (it's kind of straight up and down at the sides and doesn't provide support up the forearm). The texture is relatively soft though you can feel the grain of the fabric a bit. It does tend to collect dust and particles easily. I don't keep my mouse pad in one place so I never uncovered and used the sticky surface pad on the bottom (which I'm sure would collect even more dust and debris). It is pretty durable if you take care of it. I've been using it off and on for around 2 years without issues.

By the same token, it's not super soft and conforming like memory foam. It's decently comfortable to use overall but nothing special. I have developed carpel tunnel syndrome so I needed something to help when I use the computer. There is enough stuff on my desk and I didn't want something too big. I saw this and thought I would try it. It is comfortable and does not take up too much space. This combined with a wrist brace goes a long way in minimizing the pain.
