Note: it does not fit turnbutton fasteners. ## Description We are a small family business ( ) based in the UK We specialise in canopy fasteners and fittings mainly in the boating and upholstery markets but they can be used in many projects. As well as our canopy fastener range, we also stock a vast amount of stainless steel fittings and hardware. The lift the dot tool was design and manufactured to help cut the holes needed in your fabric before fitting the lift the dot socket and plate It cuts a circular hole as well as the four slots needed to insert a lift the dot socket through your canvas. 1. You will need a hammer, a thick magazine (book), a hard surface (ideally the ground) 2. Mark with chalk or a felt tip where you need to cut the hole. 3. Place the book on the ground and then lay your canvas on the book. Place the tool the correct way around on the canvas. (Lift the dots can only be opened from one side so you will want the Dot on the socket to be nearest the edge of the canvas) 4. Strike with a hammer several times. Don't be afraid to hit fairly hard. 5. Now insert the lift the dot socket through the canvas and bend the prongs down against the washer. 6. Repeat the process.
