Cooking grates are 210 and 200 as I move closer to the top. Mine runs hotter than the original element by 20 degrees at the bottom. Little bit of variation with ambient temperature but not much. **Q: Did u wire them together for the powder oven? And how big did you make the oven?** A: Wired seperate with 2 controller setup. I use both to ramp up to 300 then one turns off and other continues the climb to 400. My oven is an old school locker. 4 ft by 14 inch heats up in about 3 min. **Q: when this is turned on up high does it have automatic shut-off when it gets too hot** A: No it will not shut off you have to watch it.use a thermometer to maintain the heat.It is a real nice unit works real good.
