It however lasted forever. That one finally went out, and we had such good luck with the last one that we went ahead and purchased a new one that was an upgrade. This has been the biggest piece of junk ever! Sometimes when it is on double sided it will scan one side full page, the other side as a half page, half the time it doesn't even work. I have tried talking to Ambir to see about getting a new one, and they replaced a part on it and it seemed to work again. That only lasted about a week. We have had to install, and uninstall this product so many times. When we switched to this scanner it increased productivity by a large margin, plus, the image quality couldn't be better. The only draw that we have is using it with a remote server.
