I also coated my skull shaver which was slippery smooth plastic for better grip. Tool handle schmool - it’s great for everything from insulation to waterproofing. I pour in a small amount of thinner to prevent skinning while stored for long periods of time. Just mix it in before next use and repeat when done….my cans last YEARS THIS WAY! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The reason why the plastic top doesn't fit after you open the can... *by on Reviewed in the United States May 18, 2014* This stuff is great, but as other folks have mentioned, they have trouble using the can of dip more than once.The can comes completely sealed along with a plastic lid that can be snapped on once the can is open. Its sort of like a can of tennis balls. You pop off the plastic lid and then pull back on a ring to open the can for the first time. Then (theoretically) you can use the plastic lid to help keep the contents fresh (unsolidified) for later use as well.Many folks mentioned that the top doesn't fit tightly. Well, it actually does when you attach it after opening the can for the first time. The problem is that the chemical compounds in the dip (fumes) actually attack the plastic material in the top and cause it to expand quite dramatically. I noticed this because I read these reviews and when I first attached the top, I ran some electrical tape around the edge as an extra seal. I was quite amazed the next day to be actually able to wiggle the top back and forth (even with the electrical tape seal) after it had been exposed to the fumes. So I cleaned out a glass jar and transferred the contents to that and now I have a nice twist off metal lid to protects the dip... Pickle jar, Salsa Jar, etc...This is either the most ingenious and diabolical choice of materials to virtually guarantee that you'll only get one use of the contents (and then be forced to buy more), or its a complete FAIL in packaging.
