Albeit this razor isn't what would be called "mild" for the allowable angles or blade exposure, and it takes a steady hand and good technique to use well. Like with any other old school razor you will nick yourself here and there. You'll have great shaves and not so great. That's you and not the razor. **Q: Anyone notice any issues with its doors staying shut due to its tto design?** A: no **Q: How long is the handle on this? is it about the same as other de razors? i'm used to my trac 2 which is about 4 inches.** A: 85mm. That's about 3.3 inches. **Q: Is worth the $12 here or $19 at Walmart locally?** A: I say Which purchase from which ever retail based on how sooner you want to use this product. Both price are valid. If you order online buy two. ## Frequently Bought Together - Van Der Hagen® Men’s Traditional Safety Razor Kit (includes 5 blades) for a close shave in Chrome - 50 Count Double Edge Razor Blades - Men's Safety for Shaving Platinum Japanese Stainless Steel a Smooth, Precise and Clean Shave - Cremo Original Shave Cream, Astonishingly Superior Ultra-Slick Shaving Cream for Men, Fights Nicks, Cuts and Razor Burn, 6 Fl Oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/16809494-van-der-hagen-men-s-traditional-safety-razor-kit-includes](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/16809494-van-der-hagen-men-s-traditional-safety-razor-kit-includes) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
