It comes with a sturdy protective case, but you can also pack it without the hard case. I haven't had the opportunity to test it in heavy winds yet, so I can't comment on that, but the overall construction is by far the best I've seen in any umbrella. It feels solid and built to last. Although it's a bit larger and heavier than I expected, it's by far the most durable umbrella I've ever owned. I've purchased several Hero travel products and every one has exceeded my expectations. Their products are consistently high quality, durable, and thoughtfully designed. Review: Well made umbrella - Well constructed and properly sized travel umbrella. The carry-case is brilliant. I carry this in my office bag daily. ## Features - LIFETIME REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE – We individually test every HERO Travel Umbrella in the USA before shipping. I will share that while I still think this is the best umbrella I have ever owned, pushing the top part back down requires two hands for me. The button collapses it nicely but still have to push it down to store. This is not a issue for me just wanted to share that. **Q: What is the size of the umbrella's canopy?** A: Our canopy has a 40" diameter, which is significantly larger than most travel umbrellas while still being conveniently compact when in a closed position. When designing our umbrella, we noticed that most travel umbrellas could not comfortably fit two people underneath, so we have sought to offer the perfect balance between rain coverage and compactness. Cheers, Asher (Founder of HERO Travel Supply) **Q: How does it fair in strong winds?** A: We have thoroughly tested our umbrella in varying degrees of windy weather from mild gusts to extremely windy conditions. It has always held up very well. PLEASE NOTE: In extremely windy weather it is possible that the umbrella can be blown inside out, but we have designed it to quickly pop back into place without incurring any damage to the umbrella itself. If you are in extremely windy conditions then wearing a raincoat may be the best way to stay dry since the rain will be on a strong horizontal angle. Safe travels! Asher (Founder of HERO Travel Supply) **Q: How does it fair in strong winds?** A: Not windproof! Wind resistant at best. Lasted about 30 seconds at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. Flipped inside out and collapsed with springs, wires, and strings going everywhere. Returned them for a refund. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Umbrella *by A***R on July 23, 2026* Excellent quality umbrella! If you’ve ever bought a cheap one only to have it turn inside out and break with the first big gust, you will appreciate this umbrella. It doesn’t take up much space in your luggage or your car, and it has a sturdy zippered case to carry it in. ## Frequently Bought Together - HERO Travel Umbrella – Windproof, Compact and Portable - Hero 2-Pack Cooling Towels for Travel, Hiking, Sports, Yoga, Ultra Soft Microfiber 40" x 12" - Brita Hard-Sided Plastic Premium Filtering Water Bottle, BPA-Free, Reusable, Replaces 300 Plastic Water Bottles, Filter Lasts 2 Months or 40 Gallons, Includes 1 Filter, Night Sky - 26 oz. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/170412843-hero-windproof-travel-umbrella-premium-auto-open-close-lightweight-compact](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/170412843-hero-windproof-travel-umbrella-premium-auto-open-close-lightweight-compact) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
