I still have trouble with lead free solder on multi-layer boards, but I think that's because I'm not getting the solder liquid enough. When I am able to get everything fully liquified, this thing will suck the solder straight out. The DS017LS generates a lot of suction, and I think it's size must be key to how strongly it sucks. I would avoid buying any of the smaller knockoff products, and stick with the real deal. The handle is a good design. To cock the handle, you push the whole thing down on your desk. You can do this with one hand. The handle is safe, because once it is cocked, the handle will return to it's original position. When you fire the trigger, the handle does not need to move - it is already in it's resting position so it will *not* fly out and hit anything. The nozzle is very heat resistant. I haven't had any problems with that. The parts for these units are also replaceable, but I haven't needed to replace anything yet. Before buying this, I was trying to use a silly Radio Shack iron with a tiny little red bulb on it. I couldn't do anything with that. This thing is orders of magnitude more powerful in suction and works so much better. If you're shopping for a soldapullt, get the real thing. Go big or go home. They aren't that expensive - so don't waste your money on an undersized knockoff, then just end up wishing you had a better one.I may still buy a vacuum desoldering station someday, but good ones are expensive. In the meantime, I'm using this. I think it's probably the best desoldering tool you can find at such a moderate cost. There are even some professionals who prefer a Soldapullt over the desoldering stations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid construction, did the job well *by on Reviewed in the United States July 5, 2011* I purchased the Soldapullt after a 2.5 hour job desoldering. I consulted the reviews on Amazon and settled on paying more for this product. I'm glad I did. The same job that took me 2.5 hours without the Soldapullt, literally took me less than 10 minutes with it. An excellent product that is clearly designed to keep a solid vacuum and pull a lot of suction. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ this sucker works well and ejects solder when recharged. *by on Reviewed in the United States December 12, 2022* This solder sucker works very well and ejects waste solder when recharging for the next suck. ## Frequently Bought Together - Edsyn Deluxe Soldapullt, DS017LS, Static-Safe, by EDSYN INC - Thermaltronics BC-10 Solder Tip Cleaning Wire - Lesnow solder wick braid 10ft Length Desoldering Wick Braid Remover Tool Solder Sucker 1 piece No-Clean soldering Wick Wire Roll and Disassemble Electrical Components --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/17065260-edsyn-deluxe-soldapullt-ds017ls-static-safe-by-edsyn-inc](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/17065260-edsyn-deluxe-soldapullt-ds017ls-static-safe-by-edsyn-inc) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
