This is a 126 slide holder for use with the Epson Perfection V550/V600 flatbed film scanners (US Patent Pending). This was CAD designed for use with the obsolete 126 film format introduced by Kodak in 1963. ed 126 slide s were 2" x 2" so technically an Epson 35 mm slide holder will work with them. The issue is that the image 126 cameras recorded was square, unlike the rectangular shape of 35 mm images. Thus trying to scan a 126 slide in a 35 mm slide holder will result in cropping of the original image. This adapter is for use with 2" x 2" (50.8 x 50.8 mm) ed 126 slides. Cardboard ed slides occasionally varied in their outer dimensions. Please make certain that the slides you intend to scan do not have outer dimensions that exceed 2" x 2" (50.8 x 50.8 mm). Specifications for the 126 slide holder: Overall: 199 mm x 55 mm Scanning window: 27 x 27 mm (2 trays are included so a total of 6 slides may be scanned quickly) Material: Solid Plastic This slide holder is designed to fit inside the stock 120 film holder that shipped with your Canon or Epson scanner. Use of an OEM holder may not be necessary with your scanner, but it aids in proper positioning and helps avoid blocking calibrations slots on the scanner bed.
