## Description

This voltage converter transformer is highly efficient with step up/down conversion. This transformer device makes no noise while in use, a complete silent while in use and easy to use. Our voltage transformer is convenient solution to converting voltage from 220v to 110v converter (step-down) or from 110v to 220v converter (step-up) for both home & industrial applications. It features a heavy-duty cord with a standard US 3-prong plug. We do not recommend this product for high wattage heat producing items such as coffee maker, expresso machine and welding equipment etc. For safety reasons, it's recommended to use a Voltage Converter/Transformer that's max watts is at least 2x higher than your appliance. For example; this 3000 Watt transformer can be used only with an appliance that uses up to 1450 Watts that is to prevent damage from the transformer itself and the appliance being usedELC gives a wide variety of heavy-duty electronics equipment that allows to run high-end devices such as gaming consoles, hair dryer, hair straighteners, and many other types of devices. This product will let you operate US/Canadian appliances that are built to operate on 110/120v. Since the voltage conversion is 220/240v elsewhere, our accessories help you run devices with efficiency. It will not work with American 220 (Dual Phase, Not designed for US 220V)This equipment has 1 x 110V Socket, 1 x Universal 220V Socket.

Review: Great for server PSU/breakout boards, or whatever else. - The categories it asked me to rate are weird. For traveling? THICKNESS? Uhh... Update: I'm not sure how long it's been since I posted this review - almost a year? Has been running fine ever since. You're probably not supposed to run these 24/7, but I have been for it's entire life and everything I said still applies - works great, no heat, no sound, no weird smells, no problems. Highly recommend. Original review: Anyways, I got this to power a server power supply for my mining rack, at least until I get around to installing a 220/240v line in my house. Right now I'm using a 1600w supply, so I grabbed a 3000w converter to make sure there was plenty of headroom. I could probably get away with adding another small supply to it, but I'm not trying to push it... yet. I'll admit I was scared of burning my house down, but this was a breeze to set up. I spent a LOT of time looking at converters before picking this one; you don't want to get a cheap one that's crap quality, but you also don't want to pay a fortune. I've been using this a week and, honestly, it's been great. It doesn't get hot, in fact it doesn't even get warm. I have mine on top of a laptop cooling pad because I figured it'd be hot, but it's never even warm to the touch. It's also totally silent. I have it in a room with three computers running (and they aren't very loud) and I can't even tell this thing is on. I'm not sure if you'd be able to tell in a silent room, but even when I put my head near this thing I can't hear anything. There's a switch on the back to pick your input voltage, so for the US that's set to 110v, and then a few plugs on the front for two different output cable types. I put my server PSU cable into the universal 220/240v female plug and everything just... worked. No sounds, no heat, no weird smells, nothing. It's been far, far easier than I'd expected. After a week of it running 24/7 I haven't had a single problem, and i don't expect to. If I do, I'll update this post. The unit is actually pretty heavy for it's size; it's a nice, relatively compact form factor but it's definitely got some heft to it. In my eyes, that's a good thing; I want solid hardware handling the load, and that means weight. While I'm no expert, it seems to be very good quality - there were no dents or nicks, it was packaged nicely, and there's nothing on it where it looks like they obviously cheapest out somewhere. Everything is quality. I'm really glad I picked this one. There were cheaper ones and more expensive ones. With this I didn't have to pay a fortune, and got something that's quality where I don't have to be constantly worrying about it 24/7. If you're also interested in running server PSUs/breakout boards for mining (or just need a step up/down converter for whatever else), this is a perfect choice.
Review: Best transformer I’ve used - We used this for about 4 years in Italy with great results. We were able to run high voltage equipment including our vitamix off of it without problems. It was so reliable that we kept it after moving back to the states. I have also used it in reverse here, transforming 110 to 220 for a European appliance we brought back (a 220v Grainfather brewing system). I have since figured out how to use my dryer plug instead, but we will keep the transformer in case our lives lead us overseas again. It’s worth noting that this transformer (and every one that I have ever used) will NOT change the frequency of the power. This can ruin some appliances, so ensuring your appliances, especially those that spin) are 50 and 60 he compliant is important. Otherwise you might see your appliance do interesting things, or stop working all together. Our kitchen aid, spun extra fast, and survived, but we did that accepting the risks.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Blendtec total blender bought in usa 120vac, 1560 watts, 50-60hz. moving to paraguay where voltage is 220vac, 50-60hz. what recommendation do u have?**
A: One good question to ask is, am I going to buy a big ugly, heavy box which has a short cord (ie it needs to be near the outlet) and therefore becomes an eyesore for $?? or will I do the smart thing and just replace my appliance with one that works on local power? I bought 2 x 5000w units when I came from the USA to Europe. Why? Because I thought, oh lemme buy that 40" flat screen Samsung at Walmart on sale for $350 because I thought the equivalent would cost a lot more in Europe. Nope, yes maybe a little more than Walmart, but after you factor in the transformer and the sheer ugliness of it (and you cant/shouldn't hide it inside of something else because it makes heat and needs air) where are you? First of all, appliances don't last forever and they have to be replaced eventually. So suggest you/others re-examine your need path on this before you commit.

**Q: Can i use,this transformer for a cooking pot rated at 110v / 500 w, from 220v to 110v ?**
A: Technically the answer is no. This Transformer max rating is 500 watts. If your cooking pot is rated 500 watts, you need to double up the power ratings up to 1K watts

**Q: Which product will work for a heater of 1500 watts from US for continuous use in south asian country?**
A: We do not recommend voltage converters for heaters.

**Q: Does this device have output port to fit China 220v Type 1 plug?**
A: Yes, the universal socket in the front will accept the Chinese plug.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable, quiet and heavy
*by B***S on September 3, 2020*

We've had this for two months and it runs our 220V treadmill on US mains power 110V. We haven't had any problems with it, and it isn't noisy at all. Rather than switch it off, we unplug it when the treadmill isn't in use. Not sure if that saves any power but we do it anyway and just to be safe. It's a little on the heavy side and pretty big if you are going to use it for travelling, but I guess quality equipment tends to weigh more. It's perfect for our needs at home - we're very happy with it.
