These definitely fit the bill and are very thick and durable. They are clearly good quality and even feel substantial with the thick material covering the actual bands. It's tough to do the typical elastic band movements with these and takes some practice to work your strength up to be able to do so and that is exactly what I wanted. I keep them in my gym bag and they go to the park, the gym and vacations with me. Happy with the purchase. Note: The tension may be a bit much for a casual exerciser and may lead to straining.
