Dual Band WiFi 5 carries speeds up to 1.2 Gbps with capacity for 25 devices, so HD video, calls and everyday devices stay smooth where signal was weak. WPA2 security protects every device on the extended network, and automatic firmware updates help keep it protected. Works with any router and extends your network rather than replacing it, and sets up quickly in the Nighthawk app. Review: Buy it - Easy install and works great. I would recommend if you are looking for WiFi extender . Review: Cheap, effective range extender as long as you got A/C power. - Easy to use and set up. Remember to connect directly (192.168.1.### usually) and without a VPN or have your service exclude the browser you're using to access this device. Okay range but so cheap you can add a few more and not worry. Fairly stable, but connects poorly unless you're in an unobstructed space. Still good to have though. ## Features - DEAD ZONES, ELIMINATED: Bring WiFi 5 to the rooms your router cannot reach - bedrooms, garage, basement, and backyard - with up to 1,500 sq. ft. of added coverage for up to 25 devices, from any wall outlet - EASY SET UP: Use the NETGEAR Nighthawk app for guided setup, or press WPS on your router and the extender - STREAM AND BROWSE WITHOUT BUFFERING: Keep HD video, calls, and everyday devices smooth where signal was weak, with up to 1.2 Gbps (AC1200) across two bands. When I called for the help, they wanted to remotely log into my laptop???** A: They did this to me too, but did not ask permission. When confronted They immediately logged out and hung up. Called support back and they stuttered their way through saying they would never do that and I must have the wrong number. Returned the product. Safe guarded my compromised computer and will NEVER use this companies products again. **Q: How would it deal with heat? Would like to put it in an outdoor outlet that has a waterproof outlet cover. Gets lots of morning sun.** A: The wifi range extender gets really warm when its plugged in. I personally keep it out of sunlight areas to avoid overheating Hope this helps **Q: Is this compatible with xfinity comcast router? also, how many units will i need to cover from our office to outside courtyard room?** A: This device has been designed to integrate with virtually any router - as for coverage, your square footage is paramount, i.e., beyond 1200 sq ft, your extension will be negligible. Hint: 1200 sq ft is nearly a 35 x 35 square ! **Q: Will this work if I don't have physical access to router?** A: Yes - follow instructions ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buy it *by M***A on October 3, 2026* Easy install and works great. I would recommend if you are looking for WiFi extender . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap, effective range extender as long as you got A/C power. *by F***I on May 8, 2026* Easy to use and set up. Remember to connect directly (192.168.1.### usually) and without a VPN or have your service exclude the browser you're using to access this device. Still good to have though. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value for the money! *by I***K on September 5, 2026* This extender was relatively easy to set up. Works great with Spectrum internet. Just one factor to consider: if the power goes out, the extender may not have your devices reconnect. You may have to unplug your router and wait a second or 2 and reconnect your router and then the extender will work. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/183186521-netgear-wifi-extender-ex5000-up-to-1-500-sq-ft](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/183186521-netgear-wifi-extender-ex5000-up-to-1-500-sq-ft) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
