Your guitar should have .12 gauge (high E string) strings that come six to a package. You have a wide range of choices, Martin makes good strings. **Q: What differentiates the EC Lights versus the standard SP's?** A: I should add that you can read about these strings at Martin at the links below. I have used the EC strings (they sound great) but I did switch to the Martin SP LifeSpan strings.http://www.martinguitar.com/acoustic-strings/itemlist/category/279-sp-acoustic.html http://www.martinguitar.com/acoustic-strings/itemlist/category/308-signature-artist.html **Q: Where are these strings made? Country?** A: I’m guessing Spain or Mexico? Probably a D’Addario product. However the blend of sizes and super smith wound strings has me hooked. I can normally burn a set of strings in one show or 5 hours of playing around. I play a little bar down the road. I feel good with them after 2 weeks or more of 3 hours playing there and a hour or two of in between. My 2cents. **Q: These still come with the Clapton sticker in the package?** A: Mine came just as pictured on website....no special sticker. ## Frequently Bought Together - Martin Guitar Eric Clapton's Choice MEC13, 92/8 Phosphor Bronze Medium-Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings - Martin Authentic Acoustic Guitar Strings, Superior Performance Custom Light 11-52, 80/20 Bronze - Other MA540 Authentic SP Phosphor Bronze Light Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings (41Y18MA540) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/183452291-martin-guitar-eric-claptons-choice-mec13-92-8-phosphor-bronze](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/183452291-martin-guitar-eric-claptons-choice-mec13-92-8-phosphor-bronze) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
