This compost bucket is made from metal; it is a smooth finished inside and out, and the red goes with my kitchen nicely. Very large capacity, so I can put more than a day's worth of kitchen scraps inside before needing to empty it. I find that it is easy to empty and to clean. I have had many days worth of kitchen scraps and the charcoal filter seems to keep odors away. The only downfall is that the charcoal filter is about 5.5 inches across and I'm having trouble locating that size...I purchased 7 inch filters and cut them to size. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase.

I love this product because it is pretty and functional. I was worried about the ceramic crocks because I felt they would be easy to break. This one is solid but not too heavy and it is easy to clean. It's also a good size.

Love my little countertop compost bin. There is no smell between adding compostable items and then moving them to the outdoor compost pile. It is adorable and matches my kitchen decor perfectly. Highly recommended!

I like this doesn’t look like I have a silver trashcan on my counter it’s very stylish it goes with my country interior. The mouth is a little narrow, but I have no problem getting the things out to dump into the recycle bin. Love it.

Very pretty but the enamel is chipping of with routine use. Would not recommend for this reason.

The mouth of the jar is narrower than the body, so you can't stuff it as full as you'd think. Also, if you line it with a bag, the bag overflows the jar mouth so it detracts from how cute it looks on the counter. A work around is to sort of bunch the bags up behind the jar & put the lid on. (I did not buy the bags that they offer with it, so I don't know if those work better. I use recycles grocery store bags.) Otherwise, cute & pretty; functional, no bad smells.
