Draper 83758 Stainless Steel Soft Grip Border Spade

The first time it was used, one of the tines bent, as per picture, and despite straightening, continued to bend back again, repeatedly. I thought draper was a reputable brand.

I was using this to aerate my lawn. The handle (plastic) snapped on one side within the first ten minutes of use! I didn’t take it up with the seller - what would be the point of being sent a replacement? Very disappointed.

I needed this to replace my old wooden handled fork which snapped while I was turning over my borders prior to planting. I couldn't get a replacement handle so I got this instead.The item is of high quality and is comfortable to use. It made preparing the ground quite easy so if you don't mind spending money on quality items I would definitely recommend this fork.

I bought a fork and a matching spade. The stainless steel parts are fine but the plastic shaft and handle are ill-fitting, poor quality and uncomfortable to use without gloves. The shaft is too short, 4 inches shorter than my old fork, and the handle isn't wide enough making it uncomfortable to use. The overall design of the non-metal parts is poor.

The fork appeared well made and robust. Stainless steel tines should last for many years. However this fork was much heavier than anticipated for a border fork which was to be used mainly by my wife. In weight terms it was as heavy as our larger digging fork. The search goes on for a lightweight, sturdy and stainless steel border fork.

Not sure how long it will last as my spades usually break where the head meets the wooden shaft. This spade is comfortable to use and stainless.

It does what it says. Wanted a smaller sized fork and this is great, just what we wanted.

Much heavier than expeted this feels like a standard fork too heavy for my wife to use
