The cards are flimsy but not near as bad as you would think. The thickness of the cards is about the same as an index card. Is it premium card stock? No. Will they hold up for what you need them for? Probably. You are getting what you pay for. Although they have been through a couple shuffles and being tossed on the floor by my toddler. Content-wise, these cards are pretty good. Some of the words are simple, others are a little more challenging and advanced. What’s most important is the access to the app, you can download the Kaplan GRE app but you will have to pay $18.99 for access to cards. So it is worth it. In order to use the app you will also need to make a Kaplan account, which is also helpful. With the account you’ll have access to online resources plus a daily GRE question sent to your email. Keeps you sharp. Honestly for $12 this is a great supplemental resource despite the cards being a little flimsy. Review: Great selection of words - I bought these to use as dinner table conversation. We draw a card and read the word, the front just has the word, type of speech, and the pronunciation. We then go around the table and try to use it in a sentence. When we get back to the card the reader flips it over and the back has the definition, uses it in a sentence, and synonyms. Only complaint is that the words come in alphabetical order so they were some really similar words in a row. We shuffled the deck to solve that problem.
