After getting our results back, we knew with 100% certainty that it was! Specifically, we have a dog with a very unique physical trait - he has a short tail - much shorter than it should be for his breed. When we received his results, one of the "genetic" markers shown that our dog carriers a gene specific to this anomaly. The results explained that this genetic "trait" came from 1 parent, because if he had inherited the gene from both parents he would never have been born. Dogs that carry 2 of this gene die in utero and are reabsorbed by the mother's body. Very specific information for sure! Very detailed results provided.
