Gardenia August Beauty Starter Plant

I bought this about a month ago. Taking it out of the box I was kind of shocked about its small size and the three/four little, almost bare branches. I've watered this and set it in a sunny window and it has flourished quite a bit. There are plenty of bright colored leaves and it has grown almost four inches or so. A quick guesstimation as I haven't measured it. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting one of these.

The plant was well packaged and was in perfect condition. It's now planted in the garden and has rose buds. I'm excited to see the first bloom!

When I first received this product, I was very happy with it. The leaves looked healthy, green, and were very shiny. However, in the course of 3 - 4 weeks, it slowly shriveled up and ultimately died. I had bought another gardenia plant from a local nursery in town at about the same time and this one was in worse shape than the one I bought through Amazon (it had very few and small leaves on its long, thin stems) and its still alive and sprouting new leaves! Moral of the story: I will not be buying another plant through this online nursery!

Live in NJ. Nice plant, however not too many blooms and they don't last more than a week. Also when winter really hits we will have to dig it up and bring it in.however i may just trash it. too much work. i usually buy these for people as sympathy flowers, but now that I know it isn't much, I will def choose something else.

They arrived on time and in great shape. This is the 3rd time I purchased plants from Sandy’s. I will continue to recommend them to all that need plants. Great nursery.

When this lovely plant arrived, it looked ready to pop in the ground. I called her Maxine but she renamed herself Matilda. After I saw she had a flower bud I decided to let her call herself whatever she wanted to as long as the flower bud wasn't a case of survival. Plants often under the threat of death will begin the self-propagating maneuver. Plants are smart. But the more I talked to her on the windows sill where I had placed her, the more I realized she was happy just being and rewarded me with a second bud. She doesn't seem to need anything fancy to eat or drink. So far she only gotten a sip of water. I haven't decided whether to put her a pot or in the ground just yet. She came with a protective plastic coat to hold her soil in. I will take it off today to make sure it doesn't collect mold and get the necessary oxygen her stem needs.

I ordered these flowers on 4/16. They arrived on 4/21 and I had one blossom on Easter morning. The packaging from Sandy's Nursery Online was great, the plants look very healthy, and there was even a nice little card inside the box. My only complaint is that I want more and it looks like they are sold out. I love Gardenias and the smell is heavenly and the leaves are really shiny. They come about a foot tall and include a wooden stake. I am very pleased. Except for them being sold out! ;-(
