It is unpredictable, it balances comic book-standards with some realistic plot points and it's willing to let characters go once they have filled their role. It's my favorite superhero book of the 2000s and now the 2010s as well. The best praise I can come up with is that I'm looking to sharply cut my book collection, getting rid of almost half of it. But Invincible will be staying and I'll be buying more. Another sign of how good it is, once I got it I read the whole book in one sitting. Then I took vol 9 down and reread that. I can't think of any other series where I do that. So yeah, buy this, buy the whole series. If you like superheroes you'll love this. I cannot believe I have not heard about Hollywood signing the authors to a big deal to make a movie. With the right director(s) and budget it could be as good as MCU... I also believe it would have to be rated R like how Dead Pool was just due to the violence, language and blood. Of course this would easily pass DCU. The story lines from Volume 1 to now are great.
