Review: Exceptional value for exceptional quality - I am deployed O/S. I don't know where to begin. This knife is the bomb & a bag of chips. It was a far departure from what I would carry with a blade length of little over 2 1/2" & overall 6 3/4" length. I carry IWB over strong side right side kidney. You can can easily forget its there, really that comfortable. It's like 4oz. It is so handy. Who knew? What a revelation that it would do so much for it's size. I couldn't be happier with it. I got the carbon steel version as this is easier for me to sharpen. I have coated the blade with all manner of oil & grease. Olive oil, Coconut oil, Bacon grease & motor oil. Easy to sharpen & scary sharp. Esee knives punch way above their weight. What a pleasant surprise when a purchase exceeds our expectations & at such a reasonable price.
Review: Awesome EDC Tool! - I like this knife a lot. It's perfect for EDC. I carry it IWB in the 4 O'clock position, and because of its light weight, I hardly know it's there. The workmanship, fit and finish are all superb, making a very high quality implement. I am not a fan of kydex, so the polymer sheath is a plus for me. It holds the knife extremely well, and the metal belt clip is strong and effective. Wearing a Large size glove, the extra half inch of handle is perfect. It fits well and feels good. Being 1095 carbon steel, which is great for knives, you'll want to wipe it down now and then with an oily cloth to keep corrosion away. If you are not willing to take a few seconds to do this, then you don't deserve a knife this nice. I also love that fact that it's American made and is covered by the best warranty in the business. This may very well be the best EDC knife I have ever found. I define value as the sum of an item's quality, practicality and price. Using this formula, I can state without reservation that the Esse Izula-II is an amazing value. Stay frosty out there and God bless!

**Q: can you baton wood with it?**
A: Yes but only thinner logs due to the length of blade. There are several YouTube videos demonstrating its batoning. Its width and steel work very well splitting small logs.

**Q: what is the difference from the Izula?**
A: Blade length is the same for both knives, and their sheaths are interchangeable. The primary difference is that the Izula 2 has a longer handle with better ergonomics. The Izula 2 also includes canvas micarta handle scales already installed on the knife.  With the regular Izula, you would have to purchase those separately and install them yourself.  Hope that helps!

**Q: Does the knife listed here have a sheath that comes with it? Thanks.**
A: Yes it does, it just doesn't include the clip plate for clipping it to the side of a belt. I still is a perfect setup the way it comes as a neck knife and the sheath holds the knife very securely.

**Q: Is the sheath tek-loc compatible?**
A: Forget tek-lok it comes with its own PERFECT sheath and clip.  But if you like that garbage clip then yes i believe so.

I absolutely love this knife. It is the perfect size for everyday carry (EDC) and is incredibly comfortable to use. The build quality, fit, and finish are excellent, showing great attention to detail right out of the box. It also arrived very well-packaged. While it feels a little over-priced for a small fixed blade, the legendary, no-questions-asked ESEE lifetime warranty gives me total peace of mind.
