These revolving punch pliers have a convenient spring tension and are self opening for punching round holes in leather, plastic, rubber, canvas, cardboard, and similar materials. Made of plated steel with six tapered and hollow, hardened steel punches.

Review: Very effective for adding clean cut holes to leather & PU leather belts - This simple hole-punch worked very well, and I'm not particularly strong. They turned out nice and clean cut. I like that you get multiple size hole puncher options. It does require some force, but much less than I expected it would. I was able to easily add 3 new holes to 4 different leather and PU leather belts, That's 12 holes made in one session. It is very important to MEASURE and MARK exactly where you want to put the new hole(s). I used a ruler, scotch tape and a pen to mark where to punch each hole, and all came out very well. You will need to use something (I used a long tweezer) to gently push out the cut piece of leather before attempting to make another hole punch. Highly recommend.

A: It does not work with regular paper at all. Or watercolor paper, which I also tried. This instrument is specific to leather, which is does very well.

A: It's used to lock it closed

A: Yes it should, it leaves a clean hole in a leather belt so there should be no reason for it not to leave a clean hole in cardboard

**Q: is this good for thin paper or at least for cardboard?**
A: No, it broke on cardboard.

This simple hole-punch worked very well, and I'm not particularly strong. They turned out nice and clean cut. I like that you get multiple size hole puncher options. It does require some force, but much less than I expected it would. I was able to easily add 3 new holes to 4 different leather and PU leather belts, That's 12 holes made in one session. I bought this to punch a hole in my wifes purse to adjust the length. Very sturdy good quality and easy to use, I took off 1 star because it's very hard to switch the different sizes, takes a good amount of force to flip it.
