Review: Worth It - Well-worth it for a hand-crank blower. Nothing about it feels flimsy to me. Definitely beats using a leaf blower. If you're using this for a forge, I recommend drilling 1/4" holes in the tuyere every inch or so. Anything smaller might not give you enough airflow.

**Q: Would this be good for forging with soft coal? And also what is the diameter of the nozzle? Thank you!**
A: OUTSIDE diameter of the outlet is 2". As for coal, it's designed for use with charcoal which needs less airflow than a coal forge does, it would work to an extent but I'm not sure how well. Ive been using one for about 5 months and it does a fine job with charcoal. The folks at Whitlox might have more info for you re: cfm and air pressure and such.

**Q: Where is it made?**
A: I do not know where it is made, but it is great quality and works great!

**Q: Does anyone know the CFM rating for this?**
A: It does not have a CFM rating on the manufacturer materials. I can tell you that if cranked very hard, it makes more than 50 cfm (perhaps a lot more.)  We use it in our wood fired forges that have a 24" long tuyere, and it is ample for the demands of it. There is no risk in seeing if it works for your needs-- you can return for a full refund if it doesn't make enough blast.

Overall, it’s pretty good quality! Although the first time I touched him, one of the oil caps broke off immediately. Oops! But not a dealbreaker. And the volume of air is quite sufficient for running forge. overall, I am happy with the purchase and would not have a problem buying it again.
