Works with the Leapster Explorer and LeapPad Explorer systems. Review: Just right for 3.5 year old - I was nervous to try this with with my preschooler given the stated age range of 4-7, but it is so intuitive and gives so many hints & prompts that a pre-reader can do just fine. LOVE the adaptive learning capability of the software - within an hour of my daughter unscrambling 3 letter words, I was surprised to see it had progressed to providing 4 letter words (with phonetic blends). ;-) It has story elements, a "creativity center" with stamps, paint brushes etc., and mini-modules for games. She's delighted with it for fun, and I'm delighted with its quality. Review: Not compatible with all LeapPad products - The excellent shipping was 3 days earlier than expected…but to my dismay this game was not compatible with my LeapPad Ultimate! How disappointing and I paid for shipping… ## Features - Join Rapunzel and Flynn on a hair-raising adventure! - Choose from over 12,000 words and create your own spelling list in the Spelling Garden game using the words you need for school - Unscramble words to fix the store signs in the village and match words to pictures to help Rapunzel get through the forest - Teaches spelling, reading skills, vocabulary skills and creative expression; Appropriate for children ages 4 to 7 years (grades pre-K to 1) - Works with all LeapPad learning tablets, LeapsterGS and Leapster Explorer (sold separately); Internet connection may be required for cartridge ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0038AR53E | | Best Sellers Rank | #498,096 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #25 in Electronic Learning System Software Cartridges | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars (662) | | Date First Available | June 1, 2010 | | Item Weight | 3.35 ounces | | Item model number | 80-39066E | | Manufacturer | Leapfrog | | Product Dimensions | 6.37 x 0.7 x 5.37 inches; 3.35 ounces | | Rated | Early Childhood | | Release date | June 1, 2010 | | Type of item | Toy | ## Images ![LeapFrog Disney: Tangled Learning Game (for LeapPad Tablets and LeapsterGS) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81QlsfNQpTL.jpg) ![LeapFrog Disney: Tangled Learning Game (for LeapPad Tablets and LeapsterGS) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/810tgEWZgTL.jpg) ![LeapFrog Disney: Tangled Learning Game (for LeapPad Tablets and LeapsterGS) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81QBfbmot6L.jpg) ![LeapFrog Disney: Tangled Learning Game (for LeapPad Tablets and LeapsterGS) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51oymxZoX8L.jpg) ![LeapFrog Disney: Tangled Learning Game (for LeapPad Tablets and LeapsterGS) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/513iI7FVt7L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: I'm wondering if this would be a good game for my 7 yr old grandgirl. She's doing well in school but I wanted something "fun" too.** A: I got this game system for my son when he was 4. He was not yet in school but getting ready for preschool. He loved it myself as well. I loved watching him learn new things and answer the questions he already knew. He had the leapster explorer and the leapster 2 way before he got the Nintendo ds and Wii. He wanted all the games so we got him as many as we could including Tangled . He played it and just like the other games he learned from it. We also found out the store Five and Below carries tons of Leapster Explorer games for $5 not the $20 you pay in a reg. Store. But I highly recommend this game especially for a 7 year old girl. Hope this helps. **Q: We have the new leap pad ultra, is this game compatible?** A: According to the Leapfrog website, any game that works with the Leappad2 (as Tangled does) will also work with the Ultra. **Q: Will this game work with the Leap Pad 2 Explorer?** A: I think it will but i would go right to the LeapFrog website and look at the fine print from there. For Your Information i found the best prices on Amazon but better product info from LeapFrog. **Q: Can this be used with leap pad ultra** A: Yes, this is for the Ultra as well. Any game that can operate on a LeapPad can also work on the ULTRA. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just right for 3.5 year old *by L***H on June 25, 2011* I was nervous to try this with with my preschooler given the stated age range of 4-7, but it is so intuitive and gives so many hints & prompts that a pre-reader can do just fine. ### ⭐⭐ Not compatible with all LeapPad products *by K***B on March 13, 2026* The excellent shipping was 3 days earlier than expected…but to my dismay this game was not compatible with my LeapPad Ultimate! How disappointing and I paid for shipping… ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great literacy builder *by J***T on April 2, 2015* I bought my daughters LeapPads for Christmas and ordered them each two games to get started with. (We also go My Little Ponies Math, Jake and the Neverland Pirates Math, and Minnie's Bowtique). This is by far a favorite. It provides a lot of activities, and I think they're great learning activities. My girls (3 and 4) have mastered their upper and lower case letters and have moved on to letter sounds and sounding out words, and this really built on that. With the suggested age range, I was worried that it would be too challenging for my 4 year old, but it was perfect. My 3 year old also enjoys it, with a little adult help. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/224828-leapfrog-disney-tangled-learning-game-for-leappad-tablets-and-leapstergs](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/224828-leapfrog-disney-tangled-learning-game-for-leappad-tablets-and-leapstergs) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
