Review: The One You Need - This watch by Seiko is amazing. It is a beautiful piece of workmanship, subtle yet elegant. It actually fits in almost all your timekeeping needs. It is an Automatic hand winding timepiece with 40 hours of reserve - so you don't have to worry about changing batteries. It is a pricey proposal at around 18K in Oct 2022. A more economical watch along with all the batteries it may require in my lifetime wont reach a fraction of this price. But you get what you pay for, it looks elegant and functions flawlessly. Does this mean that you buy an Automatic watch and forgo all future expenses that goes with ordinary quartz timepieces, such as changing batteries periodically, repairs, etc. Well no, Automatic watches require timely maintenance and changes in worn out parts and these expenses can cost almost as much as the watch. But if you are careful and look after your clock, it will keep time for a long time as well as look amazing. Glad to have one.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it say "made in Japan" on the dial? Seems like some do and some don't**
A: The ones that say 'Made in Japan' are Japanese Domestic Models or JDM's. I have a JDM apparently not all are such. I have an older Seiko 5, SNK 809 that was assembled off shore, I think Malaysia. Absolutely fine watch.

**Q: what size wrist does this fit? mine is 8” and id like it to be loose, so around 8.5”**
A: The watch will fit comfortably 8 inches wrist. Spare links are available from Seiko USA.

**Q: Can you get expansion band?**
A: Not sure what you mean expansion band.  I took the bracelet off and put a NATO strap on it.  Also put a leather strap on it.  Both worked well.   Put the bracelet back on, though.  I think the bracelet is excellent.  The clasp is not near as good but it functions perfectly.  I plan to leave mine on the bracelet.

**Q: Did this have a screw down crown?**
A: This watch does not have a screw down crown.
