My hair is less frizzy and has started to grow since I started to use this product. **Q: Does this contain silicones?** A: I don't believe so. There is glycerin, aloe, soy, etc. No mention of anything silicone or silicate. **Q: How do miss jessie's products in general work on afros? i have a medium sized poofy afro. not sure what number my hair is though.** A: This product smells really good. I used it on my daughters hair, thick & long. It worked very well, however hair must be wet in order to use. **Q: Does this mix well with gel?** A: I don't know this answer. I would imagine that it would, but I would also suggest using a dab of each to try it out first. I usually put it on my hair and then blow dry it. I haven't tried it with any other products.
