Review: Well Made - I bought this for some gable vents that I purchased. The vents came with window screen already installed, but I felt like it would clog up a lot easier. I got this because the mesh was large enough to keep our bees and wasps, but yet allow air to flow more freely(as I’m installing an attic fan). I also like the galvanized aspect because it will be exposed to the elements to some degree, and will be sturdy enough to brush clean if needed. Plus I can use the left overs for another project.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is each strand of steel wire welded to each other?  In other words, will strands come apart or unravel if cut down the middle or into smaller pieces?**
A: I had to measure mine out for the circumference of some pots to protect against squirrels and chipmunks. So I cut down the whole with certain pieces and they have stayed intact not frayed on the ends down the middle I believe that's what you're asking. They have worked nicely for me and I would recommend

**Q: Will rats eat through it?**
A: This product is commonly used to keep pests (mice, rats, squirrels, etc.) out.

**Q: I need screen to cover my window air conditioner vents but will still let air through and keep most things out of the unit would this work?**
A: I believe so.  I bought this screening for air ventilation as well.  I used mine in my attic.  If I should run out of this screening I will definitely buy again!  It’s very strong and easy to work with.

**Q: Do you have the100’ lengths available?**
A: We currently do not offer the 1/8" in 100' lengths.  We have the 1/4" and 1/2" available in 100' lengths.   If you need multiple rolls of the 1/8", please contact us via Amazon for a quote.

I used this hardware cloth to make a prototype for a larger proposal. I don't think I got the gig but I did get to play with this super easy to use material. It can be "stitched/stapled" together with bit of wire, gets exponentially stronger with just 2 layers, is easy to cut and does not fray. I ordered 2 rolls and used a tiny fraction of one to make this 3' bird. Fun stuff! Would also work well in a garden, on the lower edge of a chicken yard, very versatile hardware cloth.
