Is 7 inches overall length enough for skinning big game?** A: Great for skinning big games you do not need a big knife just a good sharp one and this set is sharp be careful in putting it back in it will cut the leather **Q: Might anyone recommend where I can find a better sheath, preferably leather, that could still hold both knives? Or would that be a custom deal? Thanks** A: Find somebody that does custom leather products like men's belts etc. Might look at craft shows or biker events **Q: they are full tang right?** A: if Im right full tang means the metal from the blade goes all the way through the handle. and yes if that thats what it means **Q: Is the larger knife good enough to rip through the sternum?** A: Yes I would say so because I used the smaller knife for the same task worked great. ## Frequently Bought Together - Elk Ridge-Outdoors 2-PC Fixed Blade Hunting Knife Set-Black Stainless Steel Skinner&Gut Hook Blades,Camo Coated Nylon Fiber Handles,Nylon Sheath-Hunting,Survival-ER-300CA,7-Inch/6.5-Inch Overall - Mossy Oak Fixed Blade Hunting Knife Set - 2 Piece, Full Tang Handle Straight Edge and Gut Hook Blades Game Processing Knife, Sheath Included - Yellow Camo - Mossberg Fixed Blade Knife, All in One Skinning Knife with Gut-Hook, for Hunters and Outdoors Enthusiasts --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ro/products/2258953-er-300-series-2-piece-fixed-blade-hunting-knife-set](https://www.desertcart.ro/products/2258953-er-300-series-2-piece-fixed-blade-hunting-knife-set) --- *Product available on Desertcart Romania* *Store origin: RO* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
