It's the only one I use for smoothing and finishing groggy clay. The other 2 are used, as noted,for making and throwing on any type of clay. **Q: What is the best way to store these when not using?** A: I use mine almost daily so theoretically I don’t store them. When they dry, they are hard, just like they were when new. I don’t think storing them would be an issue. **Q: Has anyone used this item on unfired ceramics?** A: What do you mean? I used it to sponge glaze on bisque fire pieces and on the wheel when I’m making the piece to absorb excess water. **Q: Lost of actual material ingredients?** A: Not sure what you are asking.
