Review: It does well at what a thermometer is supposed to do - This is a very basic soil thermometer. Although designed primarily for worm farming, I use it for basic lawn management. For example, in the spring when the ground temp reaches 55 degrees, I know it's time to apply a preemergent to stop weeds from blooming. The thermometer is easy to read, and the accuracy seems to correspond with other thermometers I have around the area. It is fairly rugged so it should last a long time. It has a small rubber cap on the end to cover the tip when not in use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid soil thermometer

Out of the box the soil thermometer seems to be good quality and working. Home air temp is 70 and the thermometer is reading 70. It was wrapped in double bubble wrap and boxed. Amazon packed it in their paper bag but the box was not bent or damaged. I will be using this to check soil temperatures for fertilizer applications. Happy with my purchase.
