You can order those tips and set them yourself like most players do, or the other option is you order 13mm slip on tips if you don't know how to set tips in. The grooves that you counted you put in yourself. The handle portion is solid, nice and heavy, and well made. The shaft however feels like cheap plastic wood and was warped from the start. It almost felt like you could feel the wood splitting immediately after the first break. As I said I can't be too mad though, for $35, it's a good starter to getting into more serious billiards.
