As the timer is driven mechanically, once the timer expires it can only ring the bell for a very short time and then it will never sound again. Actually, this thing is pretty crappy and the bell sometimes will only sound for much less than a second, and if you miss it then you miss the timer. Sometimes it wasn't sounding at all, especially if you need a short time like a few minutes. This timer was so bad, it went in the bin and bought a digital one instead. **Q: Why did we have to pay postage when this was on prime/included? you didn't pay enough? tracking incorrectly shows that this was handed to us 6th dec** A: I bought this back in March 2021 and there was no postage on it. **Q: Can you set the timer for 30 Seconds?** A: Wouldn't be easy, as the "notches" are one minute apart, so judging where 30 seconds was wouldn't be easy.
