As a piano student, I see this book as a perfect exercise for sight-reading and progressively get used to the piano. Volumes 1 and 2 (specially vol. 1) are short pieces -20 sec. for example- involving basic stuff like 5-finger position and simple rhythms, getting more and more into counterpoint and independence of each hand. Vol. 3 and 4 are for advanced pianists, 5 and 6 are concert level pieces.Bartok wrote these pieces to teach his son how to play piano, so it should be helpful for anyone who can read music and wants to dig into piano playing.There's another edition in pink, which main difference is the language of text -english, french, german and hungarian- of prologue, preface and epilogue.

The pages relative to the binding/cover is upside down. Still functions, but an easily avoidable mistake.

Continuo a trovare ottimo e competitivo il prezzo di questo intramontabile classico. Edizione con copertina plastificata, pagine grandi e di buona carta. Spedizione veloce e puntuale. Ne ho ordinati vari per i miei alunni. Consigliato.

Microcosmos me parece u método excelente para aprender a todcar instrumentos de teclado y lo aconsejo a todas las edades tanto para niños que comiezan (lo escribió su padre Bela Bartok para suhijo con ese fin) así como para adultos. Como se trata de una obra en si completa tb se la aconsejo a los profesionales. De hecho yo lo oí en un discos y tocado en en clave y me pareción genial.

El precio es un poquito elevado para el contenido pero eso se espera de temas especializados
