The taste does lean heavily artificial but not chemically on the taste buds. It makes for a great caffeine add-on to my canned carbonated drinks that I buy from the grocery stores. It also does not contain megadoses of B vitamins. A little goes a long way with B vitamins, and most of us get more from other supplements and meals throughout the day.
