**Q: Are the chimes strung with fishing line or something else?**
A: so sorry for the delay..I checked those threads. They are not fishing line.  It is a thicklish thread. I had it getting the evening sun and shining thru a window. You need to treat yourself. IF they dry out and fall all you need to do is fix it back up.  I think the sun well dry them out after a while but then you'll just have a small project!!     s

**Q: Are the small crystal hearts real crystal or plastic?**
A: The hearts are glass, and do catch the light.

This is a very nice item that might take a leap of faith to actually buy but the ratings indicate that this is a nice chime and as pretty as the picture shows it to be it pales in comparison to the actual item. As to it being a chime, it takes more than a gentle breeze to make the hearts chime and even then it's a "tinkle", but that's fine by me. In a neighborhood with houses close together, I can't get away with hanging a "chime" as I wouldn't want anyone else to hang one. I actually have a chime that's made of heavy piping that would call the cows home and it hangs from a beam on our second floor, forever silent (unless the cats' tail hits the acrylic clapper as they walk along the railing). Everyone likes chimes - "their own!" When contemplating this purchase I read some negative comments about the paint being chipped but ordered anyway and happily had no issues. This item came packaged carefully with the hearts tucked away in slits of foam for protection. Love it.
