This specific strainer was recommended by a friend who said her mother used to have one and it worked like a dream. The peels and seeds really do separate and come out of the side of the strainer , you can see the beautiful texture of the sauce coming out of the front. It made wonderful thick sauce. When used for the first time, it allowed me to process over 30 pounds of tomatoes in about 10 minutes. A significant time saver for the kitchen. Easy to clean too!Be careful to read the instructions and take the time to properly set the strainers. It can be a little tricky to get them seated correctly. You will know when they are right by the sound when you turn the hand crank.
