Kirby Zipp Brush

This brush makes our furniture look and feel new, especially the set that the dogs are allowed on :) We have a Kirby, but I believe that this brush will fit on most standard hoses.The size of the brush is much bigger than a standard upholstery cleaner and the moving center bristles really gets the dirt and hair.It is also cheaper here on Amazon than directly through Kirby distributors. I thought when I purchased my Kirby this was part of the package. When I opened my box to look for it, it was not there. When we called, we were told we would have to purchase it separately. So we went to Amazon and tada!

It stalls out at times but, works pretty well.

My dogs ate the leather couch so I got a fabric one. Little did I know it was the equivalent of pet hair velcro. No amount of brushing or normal vacuuming would get the hair from a tan, black AND gray dog off the light green couch. It took 4-5 HOURS of brushing it with a lint brush and tape to get it respectable enough for company.Then I bought the Zipp brush.Two or three swipes, and there's no pet hair left! I nearly wept with joy! I reclaimed cushions and pillows so covered with pet hair, I found myself leaving bowls of kibble out for them. My light green sectional is now fit for company once again!Seriously tho- another great Kirby product! Worth every penny! Two tips- it has to be moved back and forth, and don't press down on it or you will slow the whirling brushes of awesomeness.

That is not the same thing that I got

I had one of these originally on my Kirby I bought years ago and had just worn it out. It is great for the car also. It has the round beating rotating action that will deep clean the carpet. Use it everyday around the kitty litter box. It will attach to any vacuum hose, doesn't have to be a Kirby.

This is just okay. It doesn't work as well as the original zip brush that came with my Kirby G5. It tends to kick dirt particles out as soon as you lift it from the surface you're cleaning. It does still collect the pet hair off of furniture almost as well as the original. I'm glad I kept my original even though it makes dreadful noise when I use it for any length of time (still, not bad for being nearly 25 years old). I tend to alternate between the old and new zip brush.

I have an anniversary model Kirby with all the attachments (including the rug shampoo kit) but it didn't include this accessory. The price is high but it is very sturdy, well built and it works great. It has a lot of power so only use it on sturdy furniture/carpet. Other tools do a good job, maybe even the same quality, but, for real dirt/hair build-up, this tool makes quick work of cleaning.

We have two cats and a dog, and have designed our house around their fur color to hide the cat hair. This is the best product I've found for the couches and and crevices, stairs and even the cat tower. It just takes a while to vacum all those spaces with a small brush, and it dooesn't fit every where I need it to.
