Years ago I wiped out an ankle doing something stupid! The doctors did a great job of bolting it back together. But after a long day the ankle often becomes very uncomfortable. Before I would normally put on my Bauerfeind but now the strap is my go to pain killer. I know that it will never stop hurting permanently but I'm amazed how a 2-3 minute wrap stops all pain and it last quite awhile. My only complaint is that it has a strong rubbery odor that lingers on my hands and limbs after using it. I don't know that any other similar product doesn't suffer the same issue, they are rubber products after all, but if it were not for that, I'd easily give this 5 stars.Four months ago, I hurt my knee (accidental blunt force trauma to the muscle just above the knee cap). It made me limp while walking and prevented me from running for a few months (I normally run 6 days a week). When I eventually tried to resume running, my knee had tightness and pain along the outer side. To compound the problem, since I tended to favor the injured leg, the opposite ankle started giving me trouble. At that point, the knee only bothered me while running, but the ankle hurt while walking normally during the day. I told my chiropractor about it and he introduced me to compression flossing and it worked wonders on my ankle, giving me substantial relief in one short session. So I purchased my own band, and continued therapy on my ankle and also started on my knee.Just this morning I ran 8 miles, and for the first time in months had no knee pain or tightness and no ankle discomfort either. This is just after a couple weeks of therapy with the band.
