Windobully Adjustable Sliding Window & Door Lock 2 Pack

When I first received these in the mail and open the packaging I was a little bewildered. The listing clearly shows how to install them on a single or double hung window, but the instructions do not even resemble the listing in that the instructions show a window that slides left to right, That left me a little confused. It was not easy for me to visualize them on my double hung window until I reviewed the listing again. I get that these will work on any window regardless of how it opens, but it really would have been nice to illustrate this in the instructions. I have no doubt that once I install them they will work as advertised. One person mentioned that they come in a cardboard box, with no warning about the pointed teeth on the metal bar. I am not really convinced that the teeth are sharp or a danger to anyone...in fact I have run my thumb across the teeth with no adverse reaction. Overall I think these are a good bargain when compared to the other items that are used to secure a window. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because the instructions really leave a lot to be desired.

I have previously ordered Windobully and they are really great. They were always packaged in a tough plastic. However, these are not packaged correctly. They are in a cardboard box and not well protected. So, when you open and try to get them out, you MUST be very careful not to get your fingers caught on the inside metal strip. The strip has very sharp teeth and if you don't know this, look out, ripped fingers. Why are they not packaged the original way? Or, at least have a warning about the sharp teeth!Be really careful when unpacking guys!

These door locks work as advertised and are easy to install and use. I put them on my sliders and windows. Being able to remove the lock and store it in its holder makes it easy to find when you need it. My only doubt for security is using them on the bumpy glass on the bathroom windows. Little pockets of air are created between the adhesive and glass since the glass is not absolutely flat which may compromise the strength of the lock. I love the Windobully locks and would recommend them.

I definatley like using these. They do exactly as described. There isnt any way to get the window open past where you have the bully seated. The only way around them is to break the window. I have these and an additional security system in my city dwelling and they work great to prevent people from being able to push your windows all the way up while your sleeping or steal AC units. Excellent.

This product gave me peace of mind to have my sons window cracked at night and not worry about someone opening his window further and entering the house.

these work great, have double hung windows i installed a vent system on, needed a way to "lock" them and also keep the upper window from trying to slide down, these work great and help create a nice tight seal against my vent system.

These are nice to have around especially if you have safety concerns. I am not sold on the strength of these. The adhesive is where i believe the weakness is. The summer heat may cause the adhesive to weaken. i do wish they were slightly cheaper or came at a better value. I will admit that these do look cleaner than a painted dowel rod sitting in the .window sill/channel.

It might not look like much but this really keeps the windows closed. It was easy to put in and it gives me peace of mind living on the ground floor.
