**Q: How is this different than PVA adhesive?**
A: PVA glue is designed to be a very strong adhesive to bond pages together, thus using it for binding notepads would be overkill.  Padding compound is a PVA base that has been compounded with other components to reduce bond strength, making it ideal for adhering notepad edges with easy tear-away of the sheets.Regards,

**Q: How long does it take to dry?**
A: It will dry to the touch in about 20 - 30 minutes. We suggest leaving your notepads clamped and drying overnight before use but you can use them within an hour.

**Q: Has anyone tried adding color to the compound? Such as an acrylic red or green paint?**
A: Hi Danela!  Chica and Jo here, makers of this product.  You can definitely mix small amounts of acrylic paint in with the padding compound to create custom colors.  It will dry darker, so test your intensity by letting a drop dry before adding more color.

**Q: Is this padding compound really any different than using white school glue to make a small notepad?**
A: Absolutely! This padding compound remains slightly flexible which allows the paper layers to stay together where school glue hardens and will pull apart with movement. Huge difference!
